Build your own GPS tracker
Beacon turns any phone to a versatile GPS tracker device. Simply pair it with your Kartasto app, and then activate GPS tracking to follow its location on the map. Kartasto can monitor multiple Beacons simultaneously.
Pairing happens automatically over BLE or by reading a QR code. Sending location data from Beacon requires a network connection, such as a SIM card with a data plan.
Beacon is currently available for Android devices (Android 5.0 Lollipop and later) and can be downloaded for free from Google Play.
User privacy
This app collects location data to enable you to see this device’s GPS position in Kartasto even when the app is closed or not in use. Allow access to your location all the time to allow tracking also while screen is locked.
Kartasto servers do not store location data sent from Beacons. Location updates are simply forwarded to a connected Kartasto app or discarded if no app is currently listening.
